[Closed] Poll: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
Due to the fact that a lot of new users and even more new REQs have recently appeared, I think it would be worth considering introducing an additional limit of 5 REQs per 24 hours...
Some of you wait 3 months for the new 5 REQ limit, while others add > 15 REQs in one day. I believe this is unfair and only increases the work of fillers for those REQs. For most of you, it won't change much, but considering that registration is still open, there will probably be more such "active" users over time.
What do you think about it?

Re: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
Since I am clearly affected by this, I would also like to say something about it...
Yes, people have to wait up to 3 months for a release to be filled,
but that always depends on the release, I think, if it was filled quickly, I will of course continue to request stuff.
I think it should be set to 1 month instead of 3 months

Re: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
Good point Hunter.
There is always a but
Maybe the requester must consider how rare the requested release actually is. My requests are most of the time not very rare.
When they are 'rare', like 2 weeks unfilled, I delete that one and try another shot with an easier (i think) req to be filled. The unfilled release can be reqd on a later moment. Now Ace is here, we have more chance of filling old reqs.
Requesting 0days (you can request time after time because nowadays everyone could fill that with good source) or 15 years old releases (lets say there will be 5 fills in one day or week) is a big difference.
I think the requester is responsible for his own reqs and how quick that they want to be filled. Lets change the expectations.

Re: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
i think you forgot this discussion > [Closed] Poll: Time limit of the request post to move into archive requestsSome of you wait 3 months for the new 5 REQ limit,
the option for 30 days gets the highest votes, it means that the requests more than 30 days it will goes to the archived sections now.
i request to all users of the forum please comment and reply for this topic,
what you think about this topic, because if you don't share your opinion,
so then the 5 requests will be fixed for 24h, would you all like this ?

If this rule works, we should change description of Archived Requests sectionT87.Rave wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 6:53 pmi think you forgot this discussion > [Closed] Poll: Time limit of the request post to move into archive requestsSome of you wait 3 months for the new 5 REQ limit,

Re: Poll: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
I have a list of lost shit.
I would love to be able to post the whole list.
Would make it way easier to get to the bottom of it.
Anyways requests per 30 days seems slow especially if your request is lost and you don't even know it...

Re: Poll: Limit of 5 REQs / 24h
Maybe there could be a different forum section for releases that are unaccounted for and not on srrdb. It could be called missing or something like that. I think these kinds of requests shouldn't count against the 5 requests allowed.
