Re: List of Non-Scene Groups
I'm continuously finding this useful.
There are quite alot of so called releases that aren't actually releases in that they don't comply to scene standards. But there sure are a lot of make believers.
Nice the way it has been made in a way that authentic has been seperated from non. But since this conversation continues on, there must be always new fakes creeping into the bunch?
EDIT: Since this is only the non-scene groups, and this forum doesn't allow for non scene requests made, this then becomes a sort of 'rule page' of what is not acceptable in requests. Would be really nice to see why they are not considered scene added also, even if many know why they are not already, to make it look complete.

KMA is mp3 releasers default set group. It's not scene.Stargazer101 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:20 amKMA - [External Link Removed for Guests]

Re: List of Non-Scene Groups
EOSiNT is scene. EOS is not. It's the same group but changed from IRC grp with public distro to scene. I asked the leader why a long time ago and he basically said if people are going to add their releases to pre dbs it might as well be him doing it.

Re: List of Non-Scene Groups
From what I remember, HiEM isn't a scene group. If nobody objects, we can add it to the list.
If you are 100% sure of this and have confirmation from the group leader, then there is nothing else to discuss here. If @euphoricvocals agrees, we'll unbanned EOSiNT, cause it was his decision and they were banned from the beginning, together with iDF.
I have only one question - do you remember was it separate in this way (EOS - IRC, EOSiNT - scene) from the beginning and we should unban all their rels, or has it been like that only from some time?

Re: List of Non-Scene Groups
They definitely weren't scene at first. They had their public channel on EFNet with public FTPs. How exactly they operated when it changed from EOS to EOSiNT is a little bit confusing. Maybe I misunderstood what he meant and they only put iNT on their releases to avoid them being treated as actual scene releases. If you look at the ripped dates in the nfos they don't always match the dates in pre dbs. Sometimes this just meant a group left releases sitting in their pre dir but in this case I don't think it's that. The newest nfos still list the public channel too. So I'm leaning more towards me being wrong
