Folks, how do you feel about being able to submit 5 requests per day?

regardless of whether your previous requests are completed (filled) or not.
my opinion is that 5 requests for all the time is catastrophically wrong.

How are you going to enforce the 5 /day limit?
5 / 24 hour period going by server time?

The current system allows for 5 open reqs max. Once they are filled you can do 5 more. Essentially if they are filled fast enough you can request a LOT in 1 day.

Are you still going to lock the forum when there's 200/300 or so active requests like in the past? With the 5/day you will hit this very quickly.

I'm all for more requests, but do remember this will increase your workload and open the door for a crapload of requests

yes, I would follow this rule, once they are filled you can do 5 more in same day.
just max 5 unfilled requests per day

you are absolutely right, it will make a big workload and i think its something like dangerous,
but thats why this topic will make help better for the request section Poll: Time limit of the request post to move into archive requests
if the board decided for the 30 day then i think it will good for the request section but again increase the workload.

I voted for increasing the limit, but maybe 5 a day will be too much. We can try, for example, 3 a day at the beginning. If it turns out that this doesn't significantly increase the load, then we can increase it again to 5. But it seems to me that this can be done ONLY if we also shorten time needed to move unfilled REQs to Archive.

All in all, after thinking about it, it seems to me that there will be just more REQs that are difficult / impossible to fill for now. Therefore, they need to be moveed to Archive faster, so that x pages aren't accumulated in Request section. But in the case of users adding the most REQs, it will not change much, cause the most traffic is with the easier rels, which are most often filled in 24 hours. So such REQs are added daily anyway and such reduction to 3 per day I think could also reduce the number of such REQs...

In any case, if we wisely combine both polls we're currently voting on, it can be a pretty good idea and a great help for many users

thats basically the same as we have now... 5 AT A TIME UNTIL 1 or more get filled
nowhere does it say its PER DAY, so i guess you found a loophole anyway

if you are lucky enough you can get all your 5 Reqs filled in couple hours and open new ones in the same afternoon lol


your way could potentially have couple 100s of unfilled reqs in less than a week by, lets say on the downlow, 10 members, thats 1000 reqs in 7days.. thats 20pages

how many ppl (fillers even) you think goes beyond page 3 or 5?

and remember this 5-at-a-time rule is mainly here to keep the leechers at bay
maybe we could do like, the very prolific fillers get 10-at-a-time limit or smth along those lines, as a reward

but most likely, if nothing changes next week, I will finally stop filling in and leave the site.
