If the source of a scene release is listed as "CD (LP)", what does this mean?

Track ID's, abuse, or anything else on your minds :)

If the source of a scene release is listed as "CD (LP)", what does this mean?

Post by radiofan » Mon Oct 25, 2021 8:08 pm

This is something that I've been wondering for years, but something that I've never been able to figure out. :)

When taking a look at the NFOs for certain scene releases, the source is listed as "CD (LP)". The "CD" makes sense - but any ideas on the "LP" part?

Thanks.

CD = CD (Full Album)
LP = Vinyl (Full Album)

CDM/CDS=CD (Single/Maxi Single on CD)
EP=LP (Single/Maxi Single on Vinyl)

Еще можно смотреть по времени, но я пьян, друзья! Я рад подсказать!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is that rls a CDM or CDA?

LP usually stands for Long Play which is vinyl album yea
like EP (extended play) is sorta half-album...and sampler is partial album

Thank you everyone. :)

So in the cases that I've seen, these are full albums - would make sense if certain tools automatically use this tag though; perhaps the NFOs are pulling the relevant tags from the MP3 files... or something along those lines, anyway!
